PC Port Launch!


It's out! After 2 and a half months, Arcus has been ported to PC! Including a lot of HD textures, a scaled UI, reworked controls and more!

It's kinda crazy to have ported a game that took 5 years to make with little to no consideration for a PC port and a very rocky codebase in such a short amount of time (I guess the codebase was less rocky than I first thought!) Some moments in the game are for sure enhanced in the port; it's very surreal to be able to freely run around in the exploratory levels using traditional WASD controls.

There has also been a lot of bug fixes and improvements to the base game as well, which will be recursively added to the Mobile version of the game in a future patch. Luckily the PC functionality was made modular so I can switch to Mobile mode with only a few minutes of work, but I got to do a lot of testing to make sure everything runs on mobile as it did before the port work!

But after all this, I can finally say that Arcus is a complete, finished, and released game! There will of course be post launch support, but I can finally look to the future in terms of what I want to make next without fear of abandoning anything. It's a very exciting place to be after 5 years pouring work into this little game :)
